Course Structure & Assessment

The course structure will be consistent in its approach with a series of workshops, learning and skill development activities and assessments that may include both on and off-the-job tasks, research, individual and group work and facilitated sessions. Assessment will be based on a range of tasks which may form a portfolio of evidence for each unit. The overall learning for each individual will be outlined within a specific Individual Training Plan that will include acknowledgement of industry experience, pathway pre-requisites, recognition of current competencies and prior learning.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) recognises any prior knowledge and experience and measures it against the qualification and in this instance you may not need to complete all of the units of competency. Completion of this qualification will require you to successfully complete a range of assessment tasks that align to each unit of competency that meet the requirements of the Australian Qualifications Training Framework (AQTF).

Australian Qualification Framework: Level 4

Breadth, depth and complexity of knowledge and competencies would cover a broad range of varied activities or application in a wider variety of contexts most of which are complex and non-routine. Leadership and guidance are involved when organising activities of self and others as well as contributing to technical solutions of a non-routine or contingency nature. After achieving the BSB40507 Certificate IV in Business Administration, candidates may undertake the BSB50407 Diploma of Business Administration, a qualification for those wishing to develop specialised technical or theoretical management skills, or a range of other Diploma qualifications.
