 This is a nationally recognized qualification under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). The Diploma in Automotive Management is designed to provide students with higher level technical and managerial skills and knowledge within the automotive retail service and repair sector of the automotive industry. It aims to develop the business and management skills required to operate effectively in the automotive industry. This qualification is also suitable for those who wish to operate a business in the automotive industry. The Diploma level course incorporates units from the Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology (Light Vehicle) and the Certificate IV in Automotive Management. Program outcomes will enable students to develop competencies in:

  • Managing an automotive business effectively
  • Implementing effective sales and marketing strategies
  • Facilitating continuous improvement efforts
  • Leading and supervising a team of staff
  • Preparing budgets and financial plans

Entry Requirements


  • Satisfactory completion of Year 12 or equivalent
  • Age over 18 years
  • English Language proficiency of 5.5 IELTS or equivalent (international students)
  • Mature age entry with relevant industry experience may be considered
  • Completion of Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology (Light Vehicle) is desirable

Pathways


Upon successful completion of this course students will gain the AUR50101 Diploma in Automotive Management certificate. Students completing only one or more units of competency will be issued with  a nationally recognized Statement of Attainment.
