Course information


This course provides real workplace skills at an operational and supervisory level by giving students the skills needed to work as front of house service personnel as well as incorporating management skills. The course covers everything from customer service, budgeting, managing a bar and staffing. Students will be trained as wait staff and may work as service staff/managers in small businesses or as supervisors in larger hotels, restaurants, cafes, and executive boardrooms or commercial catering operations.

Entry Requirements


For direct entry applicants must have prior knowledge or experience in the hospitality industry equivalent to a Certificate III in Hospitality or  have successfully completed an Australian Year 11 or an equivalent qualification.

Applicants who do not satisfy direct entry requirements will be assessed individually to assess skills and aptitude to study.

Pathways


Upon successful completion of this qualification, students will be eligible to apply for entry into the Advanced Diploma of Hospitality program.
